This wedding was planned in just a few days and was SO MUCH FUN – and REAL.

Imagine getting married, with your best friends joining you in an intimate ceremony – AND on OU/TX weekend – with a bunch of Sooners!

I met Nil, for the first time as she was getting ready… snapped some shots her getting read, as well as Tom.

We did their reveal in the lobby and then ALL piled in their big Excursion Limo… to get them to the church on time.

This was a very non-traditional wedding, which I LOVE.

Tradition, is what YOU make of it.

They opted for an outdoor ceremony in the church’s small courtyard, YAY NATURAL LIGHT and greenery.

From there we went our greenville and Deep Elum for some romantics… and bada bing bada boom – that was it!

I told Nilufer, days before the wedding, “Sounds like it’s going to be short and sweet!”

She responded with, “Yep, we actually chose the ceremony titled: Short and Sweet!”

(under three hours of shooting time… BOOM)

When he asked me to photograph he and his, soon to be, bride – I was thrilled.

He and Laurie, are a lot like P and me. The enjoy dining out at yummy FW eateries, love the local music scene and shopping!

Getting to know them has been a lot of fun and I am really excited for their wedding – it is going to be amazing!

D had his dad drive in their vintage truck, to incorporate in their images…

We also photographed them in an area they frequent; making the images more meaningful and ‘them.’

These two are trendy, cool, kind, goofy, beautiful and stylish – what more can you ask for?

I was thrilled when Kim was just as eager to plan something as I was.

So we messaged back and forth and I ran by the store to chat with her.

I am sure I came across as a whacko.

I came into her beautiful boutique all sticky and frazzled, with the smell of Yoga trailing off my body…

complete with little 20 month old on the hip (should I also mention my massive melon belly nearly knocking over anything in sight?).

I literally had 18 minutes to chat, before I had to pick up Pierson from his summer program.

She probably thought, ‘What am I thinking – this girl is a looney!”

Oh on the contrary.

Kim, was great.  She was happy, eager, and laid back… as her bright spirit lit up her enchanting store!

I fell in love with this soft colored, comfortable and romantic bridal boutique.

We spouted off some ideas and Kim informed me that her store’s first birthday was the following week.
An open house with sweet treats, champagne, and lovely people.

Well, duh – I had to stop by and look at the store fully, but with make up, perfume and time!

I brought my camera to snag some photos of her and the details that make up: The Bride’s Room.

It was quite fun walking around photographing the beautiful dresses, the bling, the textures, the unique accessories, and yummy desserts!

I have some exciting news to announce soon – that will involve some beautiful dresses from this lovely boutique.

Along with some other surprises, BUT for now, mum is the word.

These cupcakes were called ‘Pink Champagne’ made by a soon to open bakery on Camp Bowie.

I cannot even tell you how perfect they were.

Not overly sugared, they were perfect providing a clean and lightly sweetened cake taste, a moist and spongy texture and the icing – oh the icing… it was a light, whipped, sweet and buttery addition.

I really could have eaten a dozen.

She opened this store exactly a year ago – what a fun fun job.

I mean can you imagine ordering all of the beautiful bridal gowns that you love?

I met Jessi a decade ago.

She is a beautiful person – inside and out.

One of the most hilaroius, real, and kind women I have ever met.

She can get you laughing when you least expect it – with something crass, something silly, something witty.

When I found out she and Turner were getting married – I was SO happy for her – and HIM.

I mean, he is scoring a hot little babe, so hot she has just started entering fitness competetions.

They are a perfect pair and I love her attraction to playing the ‘wife role.’

I was honored that they chose me to capture their wedding day.

To put their faith and trust in me is very humbling.

She let me know it was going to have a vintage vibe – with big bands, bling and a 20s/30s feel.

I was stoked.

These two are simply perfect, as you can see!

They live up northing in Washington and I happened to work with Chelsea’s mom a few years ago.

I am so thankful that her mom kept up with my work and me… and passed along my info!

I just loved them – so happy and cool.

Chelsea and Joey are super cute.  They are both very laid back, funny, loving and beautiful.

My favorite part of their day, was that we had SO much time for photos… and we took advantage!

It was super windy and Chelsea handled it with ease, never worrying about her hair… or anything else.

The best part was that never once did we feel like the hired help, we felt like family.

I jokingly called us ‘the help’ and called Paul ‘my help.’

Lance was kind enough to keep telling Paul we were NOT the help and offering lovely adult bevs!

Shasta and Lance were so generous, loving, funny, kind and absolutely LAID BACK.

Does it get any better than that?

Yes!  YES it does.  Mix that in with a beautiful hotel, a wonderful beach, sun, all-inclusive goodness, and wonderful people.

Gosh, it was very difficult for us to go back home, during WINTER.

Shasta and Lance, you guys are beautiful and we are so thankful to have new friends.

We know our relationship doesn’t end here, we look forward to seeing you two grow as a married couple.

Every guest had this kit delivered to their room… including US!
