Photos on boards

Today I thought it would be nice to share some products I offer. Nothing crazy cool about these, but they are high quality and beautiful!   Some people may think it’s crazy for a 5×7 to be $25, honestly it’s the norm (*if not below) for a ‘professional photographer.’ I am not writing this to […]

A Homemade Gift (Certificate):

A girl friend was having a baby shower – for her second sweetie pie… a GIRL! I had contemplated giving her a ‘newborn session’ as a gift. My thought was WHAT IF she didn’t like my work, what if that was a total flop and made me seem overly confident in myself? Well, my solution […]

Tiffani Cisneros This came at such a perfect time! I have to give a gift certificate for a silent auction basket and I think I’ll do one this way! Thank you!March 9, 2011 – 2:06 pm

Erin A. Yep! You might offer both mini sessions and full sessions so you have two price points since everyone’s pocket depth differs! πŸ™‚

Totally awesome and unique gift versus onsies and bottle cleaners etc. LOLMarch 9, 2011 – 1:12 pm

Arden Prucha Oh GREAT idea – the joke was girls were going: I need to have another baby or I need to invite you to my shower πŸ™‚

Collage of Parx and More

Just some colorful and playful shots of our girl. She had fun at the Zoo and with Pierson’s decorative scissors! Can’t beat a lazy-Susan full of bright scissors!   Just look at how busy she is… shoes on, shoes off, walking this way and that, not an easy ‘model,’ but sure is cute. πŸ™‚ Then […]

Heather B Your family is BEAUTIFUL…..it’s not enough to be super talented behind the camera but to be models to boot. WOW! I adore your work! πŸ™‚March 13, 2011 – 3:10 pm

Sarah Brockway wow – Arden! I LOVE Parx headed down the street with her blankie; Pierson looking down and the sweep of his eyelashes – and Pierson about to kiss Parx. Such sweetness!March 8, 2011 – 7:55 pm

Laurie Arriaga Love! You are awesome and so talented! I need to load up my little ones and head to The Stockyards.March 8, 2011 – 5:18 pm

Shareen when i say I love your work..I LOOOOVE IT..so crisp..colorful..BEAUTIFUL..no matter what your shooting you always make it so lovely..a true talent you are…March 8, 2011 – 5:05 pm

Arden Prucha Well I believe the Stockyards shots are all shot with: 85 1.2 and the others (collages) are shot with 24-70 2.8

The settings are ALL different. Honestly even if I gave you an exact setting you couldn’t duplicate it because our lighting won’t be identical πŸ™‚

My ISO is anywhere from 200-500, depending on the place.
Also some of these images look over-exposed on my computer now – perhaps the resizing for web action or the fact that my kiddos’ skin is glowy white.March 8, 2011 – 4:10 pm

Nevada McNeeley LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!! Ok now I’m going to be a pest….would love to know what lens you’re using and any chance you can tell me settings??? Do you shoot auto white balance?
Oh and HUGE congrats on your pregnancy!!!!

Newborn Pull-backs

I have had a few newborns over the past three weeks – which is a lot for me. I started getting newborns last year and have really enjoyed getting to know what makes a NB content and photo-worthy. Also learning as a photographer – how to pose, how to shoot, how NOT to pose and […]

Meggy I am wondering if you use a flash when inside? What if you go somewhere and they do not have enough natural light – I recently tried to do a shoot inside but there was not enough light and I went to use my external flash, however, daddy wouldnt let me, even when baby was asleep. Have you ever had this issue, what lense do you use in order to let in enough light??
Thanks, this is a great post!May 8, 2011 – 8:54 pm

Michelle Somerville This is awesome! Thanks for sharing πŸ˜€ Funny how my ‘load’ is the same as yours. Props take over my car, and storage space (and client’s home, lol)
Would you say your 24-70 is your newborn lens? Mine is the 50 1.4 but anytime I need the zoom and wider angle I love my 24-70.March 4, 2011 – 11:42 am
