When we were in New York City I decided to keep an eye out for unique doors to photograph. I got the idea from seeing ONE beautiful door – and went with it. These are doors throughout the SoHo/East/West-Sides. They range from classic to cool, beautiful, creative, vulgar, artistic, colorful, interesting and fun. Enjoy […]

I just did the same thing when I was in Israel last month. 🙂 Totally different types of doors. The ones in NYC have to be the most unique. 🙂June 20, 2011 – 11:11 am
Wowza, Arden!!!!!!June 20, 2011 – 10:47 am
I love this Arden! so creative and fun : )I have been asked this a few times in the past and and most recently by Jennifer Veitch on how I ‘DO IT ALL with balance?” So, I asked her to shoot me some questions so that I can expand a little on the topic. Let me preface this by saying: I will be the […]

I love reading your blog. You write perfectly for blogs and it is so enjoyable to read. This one is perfect. There isn’t anyone that can read this and not have a part that “hits home”. Very well said…. you are very talented!June 15, 2011 – 11:41 pm

Arden! This is so good! I can’t even really stand how DEAD on this is. Yay for making this business work for you and your family. You are a star in my book. And trust me, it is a very impressive book ; ) I am sharing this at Pictage in the forums right this second!June 15, 2011 – 1:00 pm
Aghhhh, I love this!! Especially the friendly reminder about other blogs that showcase their authors’ lives as perfect. No one really has it all together, but I’m sure lots of us have bits and pieces together 🙂 Thanks Arden!June 15, 2011 – 11:04 am
What great words friend! I’m glad I can share in the balance struggles with you! =)June 15, 2011 – 10:59 am
Wow! Thank you SOOO much for sharing…. It’s so great to think that I am not in this alone, and that other people are trying to find balance in the exact same manor. I absolutely relate to your post, and it gave me a sense of hope, or ease just reading this. So again, thank you for your honesty! I love what I do, but I love my family more!We are back after a fun filled and BUSY five days in Manhattan. I am really excited to post a peek of the shoots (tomorrow). We actually shot more than scheduled, due to everything being SOOOOO spread out up there. I mean, we couldn’t even fit in EVERYTHING they (WE) wanted, there just isn’t time […]

Beautiful images! I love New York! Last year my husband took me for my birthday. The best part was it was a “photography trip.” Which meant he couldn’t complain when I kept stopping to take a picture everywhere we went. I had to go back and look at my own memories!
Here was my New York last year:
