Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

Jerry W. Brooks Dedication

I met Becky and Jerry a year and a half ago, when Paul was helping them remodel their home and backyard.

They were a very nice couple, who welcomed us into their home – all FOUR of us. (that means the kiddos)

Awesome with our children, kind, friendly and fun – is the way I would describe Becky and Jerry.

Amongst this building process Jerry was battling cancer.

Paul was very connected to them, because they are such great people.

Not too long after I met them, I received a phone call from Paul saying Jerry had lost his battle.

What a sad time, but within sorrow there is always hope, change and growth.

Nearly a year later Becky informed us that there was going to be a park bench dedication in Tanglewood, complete with a run honoring Jerry.

You see Jerry was into running, biking, golf, having coffee with the same group for 12 years, along with many other activities.

It was absolutely cool to be a part of a day – filled with his closest friends and family celebrating a good man.

I had no idea of the beauty that this day would bring – the art was AMAZING and unlike anything I have ever seen.

Becky had local ceramic artist, Pam Summers, create an art piece that was ALL JERRY!

Everything you see in this piece, has something to do with Jerry – his loves, his personal belongings, his pet, even a true piece of HIM!

What a beautiful morning it was…

The best part was: The spirit everyone had…

There was love, faith, happiness and friendship! The light, was shining… only on Becky. 🙂Here are some close ups of the piece.  Some of the things you see are all created for Jerry’s passions and life experiences.

His running shoe print, a flag representing Colonial along with his golf balls, the piano – because they had a Van Cliburn pianist stay with them (who placed 2nd), The circles in the merlot color representing the pleasure of sipping wine, bike tire imprints from his bicycle, texture created from his gold spikes, purple representing the Horned Frog – TCU!, blue sky with heart imprints representing HIS WIFE-HIS SOUL MATE, paw prints from his pup, a coffee cup for his local coffee group, they even incorporated his bone-ash, which allows a glossier look to the ceramic finish.

Complete with his life and death – along with all of the roles he played while here on earth – this art piece was a true representation of Jerry.

What a beloved man he was and I feel blessed to have met him the time I did. This is the lovely artist: Pam Summers

Cheers to you and cheers to Jerry!Becky had quilts made for their grandchildren. They have some of Jerry’s ties, t-shirts, Tommy Bahama shirts, flags, and such – so that they can always have a beautiful memory of the Grandfather.

Beautiful Becky – the clouds in his sky, his soulmate, his love, his everything.

You are a terrific person and I am thankful to have captured this day.

Thank you for asking US to be a part of it!

Please take a look at the article from 360 West Magazine (page 18-21) featuring Becky and this dedication – and you can read the story through Becky’s words and a journalist’s heart.

Christy I am so touched by this story. I have told so many people about it. I try to read your blog as much as I can and this story has truly become my favorite. Amazing story. Amazing pictures of a honorable day.August 19, 2011 – 1:39 pm

Naomi I must say this was the greatest tribute to a loved one I have ever seen. You and Jerry have been and you Becky are the best friens one could ask for. You are what makes life and love so wonderful in this great world. God Bless You and keep you safe.

We pushed her maternities back a bit, so that she was as big as could be.

Imagine what their little babe is going to look like!

Enjoy gorgeous Bree, handsome Tanner and soon to debut Baby A!

Bree, thank you SO very much for allowing me to capture this amazingly special time.

I know it was HOT for the two of us, about 100 degrees or more when we were shooting.

Tanner did a great job at keeping her hydrated and dragging my ladder around.

Thanks Tanner!

Kimmy Beautiful! The thing I love about your work (from a photographers perspective) is that you capture so much detail without making the detail seem thick and weighted! It’s so light feeling, like capturing the natural clarity is effortless! *sigh* I am seriously such a fan!August 8, 2011 – 9:12 am

Melanie I would have given ANYTHING to be that cute while pregnant. Seriously? She is stunning. And great work, like usual, Arden.August 8, 2011 – 9:06 am

Brooks Twins

I met Becky, through my husband when he was remodeling their home.

She is a festive gal – full of life, energy and love!

After her adoring husband, Jerry, passed away she put together a dedication for him… to honor his multitude of talents and charm.

All of his friends and family were coming to celebrate his life – including his son who lives in NYC with his wife and children.

So, we put together a couple of sessions, to capture a meaningful time.

Greg and his wife had welcomed twins just six months prior to this dedication.

We focused on getting some beautiful photos of these two, with their loved ones!

I love these images, because they are real life.

Babies pulling hair, chewing on anything in reach and looking at anything, but the camera!

They are perfect, bubbly, beautiful and fun!

Please please enjoy these two adorable babes, along with their gorgeous and loving family!
(Special ‘THANK YOU’ to Heather Essian who allowed us to utilize her studio space for these babes in this summer heat!)

Craving Cupcakes

Pierson was picked up by his Dad on Monday and I desperately needed to do some yoga.

I took Parx and Violet (my niece) to the gym with me.

After a nice workout, I figured it was time to give our bodies some much needed:

SUGAR!

What better way to consume sugar, than to head to the lovely and local CUPCAKE SHOP!!!

I had to photograph these cute and tasty things…

and while I was…

Parx decided she was ready to grab one AND SHARE!

I love cupcakes.  They’re small, their sweet, their buttery and they fulfill my small sweet tooth!

(I have to say when Paul arrived home he said, “What made you want to go and get cupcakes?”

A simple reply of:

“I am pregnant, do I need any other explanation?” came out of this girl’s mouth – with big bellied pride)

🙂

Oh those eyes…Little Violet was being so patient as I let Parx explore the cupcake.

She probably wanted to scream:

Auntie Arden, I WANT ONE!!!

However, she waited patiently… and Parx shared.

🙂Now… she wanted to share with Mommy 🙂

Don’t mind if I do.

.love.

Life with Kaishon My best friend started a cupcake business : )
