Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

If you have any questions or feedback please share with me: arden@ardenprucha.com

This… is a lovely first look 🙂

N+S: LOVE

I received an email from Nicole saying she and her husband would be in town visiting.
You see, they met in Fort Worth, but moved up north after falling in love.

Fort Worth is very special to them, for this is where their courtship began – and lasted for a year and a half.

This entire time Steve was living in a hotel – and temporarily working in Fort Worth.

Now… they are headed to England, to begin another chapter in another beautiful place.

(p.s. Steve is a Brit… though he was a tad shy so his lack of speaking meant I didn’t believe he was REALLY from England. What is it about us women that want to hear a lovely accent – good snag Nicole… however, I am sure even a disagreement turns into swooning at his voice! 😉 )

I am always so honored to capture visitors in this hidden gem of a city.

When I asked them how long they had been married, they replied with ‘One Month!’

Wow, I am so happy for you newlyweds.  It is clear in the images, that you two are head over heels.

Congrats to you both and my sincerest gratitude.

Nicole and Steve, I’ll see you in England, when we visit next year!!!!

(special thanks to my friend Tiffany Groom for spreading the love… of my work)

Baby N Birth

I met Shawna only a couple of years ago when we through, our mutual friend, Hilaree – a ‘Going Away Party.’

Well, Hilaree left 🙁  boo.  However!  Shawna, Heather and I have all become good friends.

Heather was going to photograph Shawna’s birth, but she happened to be shooting a wedding in Jamaica – when the BIG DAY came.

So, I was back up.  I was thrilled to be able to photograph such a monumental and special moment.

Shawna and I had been texting all day Sunday… we knew the baby was coming, but we weren’t sure when?!

I went to bed about 11pm, hoping for a beuatiful sunrise birth… well baby N decided that middle of the night would be better.

I arrived at their home – around 1:20am… Shawna looked amazing.  Joking, laughing, smiling, getting through contractions with ease!

I was amazed.  Envious.  Proud.  For her. and Hopeful for my own birth this summer.

She had her team of midwives there – Donnellyn (of All About Babies: Midwifery) was as sweet as can be.

So soothing, comforting, strong, supportive and exactly what I imagine a midwife to be.

The progression wasn’t as quick as we thought, but it was happening…

I laid down for a while, while she was in an out of contractions and shortly after I heard Shawna in more pain than before…

I popped up – camera in hand – and ran into the bathroom.

It WAS TIME… not long after Baby Natalie was born at 4:01am – right into her mommy’s arms.

What a wonderful moment.

I welled up with tears – watching my strong friend – catch her baby and love on her immediately.

Blake was joyful and strong, the midwives rocked it, Shawna was ecstatic and I was able to capture it all!

Wow, what a beautiful miracle.

Thank you guys for allowing me to photograph your moments… I really wish Heather could have been there too! 🙂
