Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

S+L: Day After

We snuck this sweet session in right at sunset on the beach.

There were more plans to go ALL OUT, but when you are on vacation, time seems to pass without you even knowing it.

I was so glad we were able to get a few more shots of just THEM.

These rocks in the ocean were a perfect backdrop for their images.

Along with the painted sky.

Once again, the beautiful, sexy, and lovely Mr and Mrs…

(drool warning)

I loved the texture of this wood… however just above us – hotel guests were getting a wonderful outdoor massage.

Lance and Shasta did AWESOME at interpreting my miming directions…

I probably looked so silly pointing, posing, nodding, shaking, but they got it!

What a cool and colorful shower wall… Hello pretty girl, would you like to be in a perfume ad?An AWESOME BRIDE allows Monique Lhuillier to get adventerous!.love.

S+L Wedding

Oh what fun this wedding weekend was.   When Shasta asked me if I would shoot her wedding in Mexico I tried to not act giddy 😉

Honestly?  I felt honored, it was just after I shot their engagements that they pursued the idea.

The best part was that never once did we feel like the hired help, we felt like family.

I jokingly called us ‘the help’ and called Paul ‘my help.’

Lance was kind enough to keep telling Paul we were NOT the help and offering lovely adult bevs!

Shasta and Lance were so generous, loving, funny, kind and absolutely LAID BACK.

Does it get any better than that?

Yes!  YES it does.  Mix that in with a beautiful hotel, a wonderful beach, sun, all-inclusive goodness, and wonderful people.

Gosh, it was very difficult for us to go back home, during WINTER.

Shasta and Lance, you guys are beautiful and we are so thankful to have new friends.

We know our relationship doesn’t end here, we look forward to seeing you two grow as a married couple.

Congrats.

.love.

Every guest had this kit delivered to their room… including US! 🙂Shasta was a stunning bride. One of my favorites…Ridiculous… really 🙂Groom time:Love this of Lance… what a good smile!Look at this glowing beauty.Sweet Shasta spilled the sand, it became a cute moment. It was a bummer – both Dad’s were unable to make it at the last minute – due to illness and passport issues 🙁

So the Mamas made ‘dad heads!’ AND the hotel skyped it to them back home , so technically they WERE there 🙂

Notice them saying “HI” at the cameras! All of their wonderful guests!the crew:Now it is time, for just the Mister and Misses…Oh color, how I adore thee…Her grandmother’s handkerchief..love.
I had to end the night on two hilarious and compeltely random photos of the two of them.

Lance, oh no – you di’nt!

Next up?  Their DAY AFTER session!!!

Sarah Potter What a gorgeous venue for a wedding…coupled with a stunning Bride & Groom and a fantastic photographer = Stunning Shots, Arden! Looks like they were a fun group to shoot. Loved the “hangover kit”!!March 15, 2011 – 10:35 am

Photos on boards

Today I thought it would be nice to share some products I offer.

Nothing crazy cool about these, but they are high quality and beautiful!

Some people may think it’s crazy for a 5×7 to be $25, honestly it’s the norm (*if not below) for a ‘professional photographer.’

I am not writing this to justify prices, I am writing this to show my product – which I am proud to sell and have my name and art on! 🙂

You see – these prints are not from Costco – or Walgreens, or any other lab that just anyone can use.

I use labs that are for Professionals only, with tax ID numbers, and legit businesses (you see they check you out before you can be a ‘member.’)

These lovely prints are printed with UV coating and won’t fade.  I have chosen to have my prints mounted on matboard, styrene or masonite board for added protection and durability.

They’re simply lovely.  No floppy paper here, to bend or tear 🙂

There are a TON of options on prints and mounting.  You can have images printed on metal, acrylic, velvet, canvas, textured papers, metallic papers, and the list goes on.

Here is a 5×7 print on matboard, notice my small watermark at the bottom too.

I created these for charities and auctions to display my work.  I chose images that are good for portrait sessions (no wedding/engagements here).

These are both printed on styrene and the big one is 20″x20″ while the small is 8″x8″.

I will frame them in white simple frames.
Oh wallets aren’t you cute?  Not on any board, I don’t think they would fit in a wallet then 🙂

The only print I offer not mounted on a surface.

However these bad boys can have textures or the BEAUTIFUL metallic paper. Now onto some metallic prints, you cannot really see the shimmer this gorgeous paper provides.

If you happen to be at Christ Chapel Bible Church (FW) this weekend you will see these two prints below.

They are both printed on ‘stand out’ board.

Standout is made from lightweight foam banded with a Black, White, Light Wood, or Stainless edge

and comes ready to display with hanging holes on the backside.

I chose black for these, so that it would blend nicely with the prints.Notice how they ‘stand out’ from the wall.

A contemporary and clean way to showcase your images.

Creating a standout wall collage is a wonderful way to fill up big space with multiple prints and without spending a fortune 🙂

Pam where is this church? the architecture is amazing!! love the lines!March 11, 2011 – 9:55 pm
