Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

Baby Dubs

Meet Bernadette, Jim, and their sweet baby bump.  They chose White Rock Lake as their location which was gorgeous!  I had never been there and don’t do much shooting in Dallas.  These two are beautiful, so in love, so sweet, so patient and peaceful.  They absolutely adore one another.  Thank you two for allowing me to capture a joyous moment in your lives.  I cannot wait to meet your little one!Jim was always stroking her hair – it was quite sweet.Loved the dock.  Such a beautiful scene.Sun sparkles – twinkles – rainbows.Oh Bernadette – Bear – You are a stunning mama! This field stung us – literally our legs were burning!  Worth it for these lovely images:

Happy 6th Merrill

Cassie is the owner of Mint Ink Design – she is a TALENTED graphic designer (great at designs of all sorts in my eyes).  In fact she will be creating a new look for ‘Arden Prucha Photography’ soon!  When she asked me to photograph Merrill’s 6th birthday I knew it was going to be an insanely cool party.  I have been able to work with Cassie through Fresh Press, now as clients to one another, and just as friends so, I’ve been able to witness her constant  ‘cool!’  Her home is a conglomerate of mod, color, and vintage,  her old office space was featured in Marie Claire (this is the China version) because it was so chic (another post),  her artistic creations are incredible, and she is always fashionably dressed – gosh sounds like I have a girl crush huh?  My point is that the party was killer – it was at Splitsville Lanes (a made to look retro bowling alley) and she went above and beyond to pull everything together to create a cool party…  you’ll see it in these images, so need I say more?

This post really is about Merrill – now, one of Pierson’s friends.  Happy birthday sweet Merrill, you are a doll, a ham, and just as cool as your mama!

Cassie MADE these:Every kiddo received a personalized bowling shirt stuffed in a popcorn container – so cool. How cute are Merrill and Pierson?Yes Cassie’s got skills… the invitation:More details:They made the bowling balls out of fondant! Can you say, “Grease?”Love this series of Bay and Pierson:The Party Go-ers!Photos of my family… we really enjoyed this celebration.

Veggie Sandwich

I have decided that I will do personal posts often using images from my life… cooking, children, friends, love, family, and such.  I have all of these beautiful images that I enjoy sharing with my friends and family and what better way than on my blog?  As I have become older, more adult?, I find myself becoming passionate in certain areas.  FOOD is definitely a passion of mine.  Could be a curse, because I love expensive gourmet food – at least when I go out to eat which is quite costly. However in the home I am learning to be frugal and to think outside of the box to create yummy, easy, and inexpensive meals.
There are some days when I think I could pull off being a vegetarian.  Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a fantastic med-rare fillet, moist and buttery sea-bass, succulent lobster, and Uncle Julio’s chicken fajitas, but I LOVE veggies too.  I have recently cut meat out of my diet when I CAN, just to keep the fat content down and the ‘who knows what is injected in meat’ worries lower.  The new Kroger by TCU is fantastic.  They have a variety of veggies (both organic and non-organic) to choose from and at reasonable prices.  Anyway am I rambling yet?  My point – you should go, check it out, and have fun picking out beautiful, fresh, and tasty food (they even have a fresh sushi bar.mmm.).  I haven’t been the best about eating healthy meals as much and really want to incorporate such foods into the Jenkins’ diets.  This particular day I was craving a veggie sandwich and it was simple.

My ingredients:

  • Two pieces of white bakery bread (yes, I know wheat is better, but this was so soft and moist – plus it was made in the bakery)
  • Olive Oil based Mayo
  • Salt/Pepper
  • Havarti Cheese (um, yum!!!)
  • Thinly sliced tomato
  • Paper Thin Vidalia Onion Slices
  • Avocado – Nice and Ripe
  • Iceberg Lettuce (I love the crispness it adds to the sandwich, obviously the least nutritious choice)
  • Hot Pepper Rings (I think they are the same as banana peppers and add the perfect amount of tartness)

Here are the images from my lunch preparation.

Pause: Don’t forget to feed the hungry baby some fresh veggies!

I love to load up on fresh cracked pepper and sea salt.  Ever since I had Pierson my salt liking spiked way too high.  I salt… salt.

Stack those veggies.  Mmmm.  Isn’t it bright and pretty?Woah, that’s a bit too high for my liking. Now, that is better – shmmoooosh.I could probably eat this every day.  Ciao!
