Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

Over Her Head

This week’s I ♥Faces challenge is ‘Over My Head.’  I liked the idea, but wasn’t going to enter… only because of so many things on my plate.  Well, that was until I let Little Miss Parker crawl around only to find her in awe of the washing machine.  She had crawled over and pulled up to her knees to watch the spinning clothes.  As I was shooting from below I realized… this is it!  I could get ‘Over Her Head’ and add an image to this weeks challenge.  Isn’t my baby precious?  Let’s just hope she likes laundry a lot more than Mommy does.

Please check out the other entries HERE and leave some LOVIN’!

Hello Friday

I have been bragging on Parx just a little bit on my Facebook.  You see she has learned how to crawl, clap, wave HELLO and GOODBYE, high five, scream like a Pterodactyl (unfortunately), say ‘MAW’ for more (or water) and repeat ‘Uh uh uh’ after I say it in a matter of two-three weeks.

Well, another big thing happened today… it’s B.I.G. people!

(Okay she is looking at me like this because she knows I am NUTS!)

Little Miss P(arx) was able to wear her FIRST BRAID today 🙂

Yes yes, silly I know – but! look at how precious she is and what’s a little gal to do without a braid and a bow?

Hope you all have a marvelous weekend.  My late summer/early fall busy season is about to be well underway – hip hip hooray!

Oh and be looking for a post next week (finally) about dates, prices, and locations for a Short and Sweet Session!

S+C Wedding Peek

Let me just say that it rained this day – BEFORE we got started 🙂  What a beautiful day for a beautiful wedding…

Mini Session Poll

I will be holding  mini-sessions soon.  What is a mini session you ask?  Well, it’s a shorter version of one of my portrait sessions and includes less images and minimal product in the fee.  Of course you can purchase more product for an extra fee – so you can load up on beautiful images and artwork for your home 🙂 I will be holding mini-session days at certain places back to back.  This allows me to ‘just keep snapping, just keep snapping, just keep snapping, snapping, snapping’ away as each client arrives.  My question today is if you were to book a mini session where would you want to have your photos taken?  I will choose my location(s) based on YOUR FEEDBACK 🙂  Please vote so that I can build this according to ‘the people.’

Oh and if my choices aren’t good enough, you may fill in your own ‘best place’ – but it’s gotta be in the Fort and realistic! 🙂

Being a photographer, I like more images, less words… here is a little girl I met on a bus in Jamaica back in February.

Her eyes were so intense and beautiful.  I love kids and make friends with them so easily.  She was posing away – with ease, confidence, and glee.

B+B Wedding

What can I say – I fell in ‘client love’ when I met Bridget and Bill.  They’re truly lovely people – Paul and I have made some new dinner and wine friends!  B+B are ridiculously in love – everyone at the wedding witnessed how smitten they are with one another.  When they became teary eyed, so did I.  Bill and Bridge (that’s my  nickname for her, what a bright spirit) chose to do a first look (YAY!) .  Bill did shed a couple… which meant I did too.

We had such a terrific day – they began at the Omni where I was able to capture some bright, colorful, and urban images.  The ceremony was at St. Patrick’s Cathedral: GORGEOUS!  After the ceremony we ventured off to the T&P building for some crazy beautiful romantics.  Then to finish off the night (a-hem party time) their reception was  at the Ashton Depot.  This wedding will be featured in Brides of North Texas next month – thanks to Paper Planet; who provided the lovely paper goods for their wedding.  The theme Bridget went around was wood and lace; natural, delicate, beautiful.  They had a late evening Mexican coffee bar, midnight snacks served, and partied until 2 am (when I was in dreamland).

I am so thankful they allowed me to capture this monumental day in their life.  You two are stunning and I am looking forward to hanging my new sweet friends!  Happy Life B^2:Second Shooter Groom Love (Thanks Elisabeth!)Absolutely.Stunning. This image of Bill on the right, one of my favorites!First look bliss:Alone time with Mr. and Mrs. Hall
