Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

Meet Heather and Travis.  I met Heather years ago in high school and graduated with her brother.  Heather and Travis requested a Stockyards shoot and we found some cool locations that wound up catering to their love of all things western.  They wanted a photo for a ‘Save the Date’ card and I had this idea of writing it on something in the photo … well, Travis came up with the brilliant idea to write it on the bottoms of their boots, turned out pretty darn cute!  I am excited about their outdoor wedding on… MY BIRTHDAY in a lovely outdoor garden. 🙂  I love the playfulness of this session along with some not-so-playful (i.e. sexy) images!  Thanks Heather and Travis… looking forward to your BIG day.

I had the hardest time writing on their boots, but it was so worth it.  This is their ‘Save the Date’ card!

Dodging people’s heads to get this shot…

Hellllllooooo H&T (should be H.o.T) Giant spurs rock my world!

All YOU need IS:

Liu Peek

The Liu Fam is fantastic… a peek at this humorous and beautiful family!

Just a poll…

I posted this at the end of my last photo post, but would really like more feedback.

My question is regarding whether or not I should put slideshows in my posts.  I think it is a sweet way to view photos, but I also know when I go to other blogs I sometimes don’t have the patience to sit and watch a slideshow… Patience, really am I that lame?  I mean it is a beautiful way to show a client THEIR photos, after all the post isn’t about ME it is about THEM.  My blog is also about my ‘fans’ and people who want to see my latest session, but my point is… that each post is really about those individuals who are in the images, as well as everyone else to enjoy.  My reason for asking is to keep my readers content and coming back for more of what they (YOU) want to see.

So… what do you think?  Is the slideshow a GO or a NO?

Thank you to those who have provided me with an answer or written under the ‘other’ option.  Y’ALL ROCK!

(If you have no idea what I am talking about just click on the show below or my former post “The King Family” to see their show 🙂

The King Family

I could tell you that Jenn was amazing to me in high school.  Taking out the younger gal to lunch… off campus when I was NOT supposed to go.  I could also tell you that we got in trouble for writing on desks with ERASERS in Auto Cad (why in the heck were we taking that class?)… I mean in trouble, our teacher flipped out and made us stay after school, lectured us on vandalizing school property, and then clean the desks (oh those eraser smears) like we were some kind of graffiti criminals.

Anyway… I was very excited when Jenn told me they wanted their session on the TCU campus.  She and her husband, Eric, are both Horned Frog Alumni and BIG football fans!  We had a fabulous time trecking across campus to capture some fun and meaningful images.  I think it is extra special when my clients choose the location.  It gives the images a more personalized and unique touch.  I became even more excited to hear the tulips were in full bloom on campus!

Meet: Baby James, Jenn, and Eric… a beautiful and wholesome family!

What an adorable family.

What an adorable family.

A little unsure about his treat… nom nom nom nommm

Nikki P.S. The pics are GREAT as usual!April 12, 2010 – 6:27 pm

Nikki Arden … as far as the slideshow goes, I think it is great. If you had to wait for each picture and not be able to “self-navigate” then maybe it would frustrate clients. Since you can go at your own pace it ROCKS! 🙂 Hope this helps. I voted too.April 12, 2010 – 6:27 pm
