Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

UPDATE:  We were recognized!  Not a top tenner, but worthy of mentioning… Yahoo! 😉

Once again I am entering a photo with I♥Faces… this week’s them is all about staying warm in the winter!  I have so many great photos from the ridiculous amount of snow in Texas – 12 inces in 24 hours!  It was hard for me to pick a favorite, but I chose this photo because of the blissful emotion, the movement, the fine details, and bright color… also because this wasn’t an ‘okay P, stand here and smile’ image.  I gave it a lomo effect to help the colors pop even more.  For those of you who don’t know, this is my son Pierson!  Excited to see other entries and what we can learn this week on I♥Faces blog.

Sarah LOVE this! so funny how snow can bring such joy! love I heart Faces too, very cool website! Hope this wins as well, Pierson is SO cute!March 17, 2010 – 8:24 pm

K+R Jamaican Wedding

What can I say?  We had an absolute BLAST in Jamaica with some very dear friends.  What a neat experience to do a destination weddings as well as celebrating with my gal, Krista, whom I have known for 16 years.  They are so wonderful to me… flew in (from Cali) to have their engagements taken in Fort Worth and then flying us out to capture their beautiful wedding.  I probably went overboard with images here, but that’s okay… for this is a photo blog and that is what you are getting… PHOTOS galore.

We love you guys – thank you so very much for loving us too. 🙂

My favorite image of Ryan.

Um, hello gorgeous day… she performed just for you TWO!

I LOVE make-up… in college my sorority sisters would come over and I would have fun painting their faces… so Krista wanted me to doll her eyes up! (photos by: Paul Jenkins – my radtastic husband)

My favorite… I believe 🙂  Simple, artistic, beautiful!!!

Jump for Joy – 6th Place!

I have fun entering I ♥ Faces challenges every now and again (this is my 2nd or 3rd time to enter).  It is a great community with photographers of all sorts: hobbyists, mama’s, pros, amateurs, etc.  They have weekly themed contest for photographers to post their favorite photo in a blog based on the description.  Well, I entered a photo of sweet Merrill under the “JUMP FOR JOY” category.  There were nearly 500 entries and this photo was chosen for 6th place.  YOWZA -What a treat! 🙂  This is just fun stuff that I am proud to share.  I’m roud as a photographer of fantastic clients that help my images turn into emotional moments.  Yeeeehawwww – I think I will have to give The Kruemke Family a free 5×7 for producing such a lovely daughter 🙂

P.S. Kelly Moore was the judge this round!  She is so freakin’ talented, WONDERFUL, and creative… oh and the creator of the Kelly Moore Bag.  What an honor to have her pick!

.Inspiration.

What is inspiration? For me – it’s the beauty of sunlight, a blooming flower, a babe’s smile, the wet pavement after a summer rain (can you smell it?), walking down a road, freshly bleached clothing, the sound of the dishwasher, a crisp bright morning, deep meaningful eyes, a hot cup of coffee, belly laughter, windows down with the wind twirling in my hair, emotional intimacy with my dear ones…  Gosh, I could go on and on.  I have this desire to share… share this burst of joy that is about to explode out of me.  I cannot even begin to say how happy I am.  My life is going, going, going… going well.  I absolutely love my new career of staying at home with my baby, while also doing THIS amazing job in my home.  With ‘this’ I am WAY more laid back, confident, and stable.  With all of this glee I wanted to post some images that make me appreciate the simplicity of life – things that inspire me right here in my little bubble.  We are here on earth and there is beauty surrounding us – in our home, in the yard, at our job, where we visit, streets we drive down, parks we play at, stores we browse, people we chat with, children we laugh with, and things we pass without even a glance.  These moments here on earth are short and I am trying to dive deep and find the inner beauty of here and now.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE my life – not in a bragging sense, in a “WOW ARE YOU KIDDING ME… I am so super grateful.” sense.  I really owe all of this to my God, he is my true inspiration.

I hope you love what you do.  If you would like to share what you LOVE, I would LOVE to hear.  Are you living your dream, finding your dream, reaching your dream, or totally dreamless right now?

Sarah Awesome! I too have been shooting the Bradford Pears, love em! Love spring too – to me it is like a rebirth; like all things are possible! Glad this year is going well for you; its hard to make a leap of faith…..March 17, 2010 – 8:28 pm

Marylie Mach This may sound ‘cheezy’ but YOU & your work inspires me. Your passion and your energy. Feeling the power that comes from focusing on what excites you. I wish you the best in your wonderful journey xoxMarch 12, 2010 – 9:02 am

Kristin The small things in life inspire me. The way that light glistens off a spider web. A flower, hanging low with morning dew. Mirror smooth water creating an illusion of an endless Texas sky. The purple velvet of an Iris, unequal by the creations of man.

I have always admired life in small pictures, it wasn’t until I became a special education teacher that my appreciation for it deepened.

Check out my photo blog, I would love to hear your comments.March 11, 2010 – 9:49 pm

Lynn I LOVE love love this post Arden!! It’s such a blessing to be alive in this time. I had a pretty crummy shift last night, and I walked out of the hospital at 6am just as the sun was about to rise. As I walking to the parking lot, I was just STRUCK by these beautiful flowering trees by the lot. I felt so happy in that moment to see them. I whipped out my iphone to take a pic, and a gentleman walked by, and said “The Bradford pears are out! Enjoy them now because they will only last a week”. So funny, that I first about “Bradford pears” twice in one day! Have a great weekend!March 11, 2010 – 9:32 pm
