Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

Moved and Settled!

I just wanted to write a quick post about this week.  We began, last Saturday, moving into our sweet new pad!  Paul has really really been working his tail off to get our home ready for baby Parker Lane to arrive.  A little background: We were living in a 3 story, two bedroom, townhome – with no yard, a dog, and a baby on the way.  Paul had a rental in one of my favorite FW neighborhoods so we gutted it and revamped it with a very contemporary feel within a 3 month period!  We moved in sans hot water, washer dryer, sofa, dining table, internet, uverse, etc.  It has been a crazy week, but without all of those things to “occupy” my mind I have been able to unpack more easily and “semi-quickly!”  I also, this week, managed to spill an entire cup of coffee inside my laptop and had to get that backed up along with shipping it off to get a new one – amen BEST BUY for providing my MACBOOK PRO with accidental insurance (I am nearly positive that the apple store doesn’t offer that coverage).  Without that insurance purchase I would have been buying a brand new laptop for a hefty price tag!  So, things have been busy and I have been editing and working throughout this week as well, but was unable to log onto here.  We will be induced on Tuesday the 27th with a “water breaking.”  Next week will be quite busy too – OH MY A BRAND NEW BABY IN THE HOME!  We are extremely excited and have been so thankful for all of the kind words, support, and great people in our lives.

I will post some photos once we get more settled in and I have my other photos up and running!

Here is a semi-recent photo of my baby bump – images taken with an iphone and a point and shoot camera.  Parker is literally like a big ole’basket ball on my similar to pre-pregnancy frame.  She also loves to kick me on certain nerves that make me nearly drop to my knees, but I love her little squirming around.  Helps me know how real and human she is.  Paul thinks she will be blonde like me and I think she will carry his Cuban characteristics – we shall see!  Enjoy the beautiful weather – thank you rain for going away today!pregcollage

Flores Peek

I was a bit nervous yesterday with moving, being less than a week away from my due date, and a photo shoot of 4 children all 3 years old and under. Well, I have to say it was one of my most fun shoots and my energy kicked in with these sweeties. Please don’t tell me that these two shots don’t bring a grin to your face or just warm your heart!p1p2

Oh Pete!

Our dog Pete is a really really sweet pooch. I may call him “dumb” or “slow” at times, but he has good intentions. We adopted him back in February just a few weeks before we found out we were going to have a baby. I guess this was our “next step” in our family and relationship – just before the engagement, the wedding, the baby, the new life we were all about to begin! Well, poor Pete has been living in our 3 story town-home and he has gotten a little more husky since entering our fam and leads a pretty dull life (playing chase up and down the levels is as good as it gets). That is, until we go OUTSIDE! Luckily we have a couple of fields next door where he “does his business” and gets to chase sticks, balls, and the neighborhood dogs – who seem to roam around everyday like a wild gang! I just want to give sweet Pete a shout out for putting up with being a big indoor dog for only ONE MORE DAY- tomorrow we are moving into our amazing newly renovated home with a big huge YARD that he can run and play in all day long.

Pete – you rock… and you are precious!

He jumped up on my arm and this is the image I caught.p6p8

He LOVES other dogs and gets very nervous around them – hyper nervous!p4p3p5

Unfortunately the field has stickers and they get stuck in his paws 🙁p7

The Pearson Fam

I received an email from Janice just a few weeks ago.  She is a friend of a recent client and decided within a week or two that she wanted a family photo shoot including sweet pup Ranger!  Little Sarah is adorable and performed perfectly in front of the camera.  Mom and Dad made sure to have treats for both pup and child to keep them bribed, happy, and smiling for the camera.  We had to shoot in the recent overcast weather, but the lighting wound up being gorgeous!  Janice had certain images she wanted captured and I hope her expectations were met.  I love the images of this shoot where you can feel the sweet love within this family.  I hope you all enjoy this sweet foursome!  Thanks so much to Janice, John, Sarah & Ranger for rocking out their photo session.

P.S. I was trying to call Ranger to run towards me and turns out the poor little dude was deaf 🙁  So, we threw treats instead… don’t you love the mission he is on?

When kiddos try to blow dandelions they always wind up spitting – it is hilarious!w1w3w5

Love how Sarah is playfully interrupting the sweet kiss moment – that is such a kid move.w4w6w7w8w9w10w15w11

They also brought along Sarah’s favorite and most faithful friend “Bones” – oh childhood innocence.w12w13w14

Angie These are adorable! Love your work 🙂October 19, 2009 – 8:30 am

nickerson Arden, once again you bring tears to my eyes. What a beautiful family. The shot of dad tossing little Sarah up is intended for a frame on a wall. And the three of them with mom and dad kissing while sarah looks up at mom is so moving….BravoOctober 15, 2009 – 6:32 pm

Rain – Rain…

Don’t go away? No, really please do! It has been raining a ton in my most favorite Texas month. October brings us the most crisp air and amazing light, except for this year. Here is a peek at a session that was rained in on half way through and then was sporadic, but we made the best of it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this photo. Krista is my dear friend who now lives in California and I am honored to shoot their wedding in Jamaica in ’10! They flew in to Tejas for some engagement photos – now that is true friendship and trust!pre1
