Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

GWAVES – Owh Owh!

Well, I had an AMAZING shoot yesterday with Goldwaves Salon! They are entering a nation wide contest through Oribe salons and hair care, recreating an Italian VOGUE cover. This is just a preview of all of the girls – wowee zowee can you feel the sultry vibe? They had two Oribe stylists fly in from NYC and Miami to show the stylists how to make “the look.” This shoot was major fun and the girls really rocked it – how intimidating to have a bunch of people watching you pose like Linda Evangelista. More to come soon.

This was also the craziest shoot too because when I got home to download the photos the computer froze up and the CF card was corrupted! I had a crazy 24 hours working with FW Camera recovery nearly every single image from the shoot – this was such a helpless and sad situation. Thanks to the big MAN upstairs for hooking me up with yet another ‘thankful’ moment.

Wallace Babies!

I met Ben and Sarah through my husband’s job.  Ben is a cabinet maker and he has amazing product (he is putting in a ton of cabinetry in our new home. SHOUT OUT- http://northtexasmillworks.net )!  We hit it off last year when we all went to dinner and I finally convinced Ben to allow me to shoot his family; you see Ben is a hobbyist photographer on the side.  They had sweet Maggie about 6 weeks ago and little Bay is 2!  This was such a warm, sweet, and fun shoot at their home.  Sarah was a trooper and put all of us at ease (I cannot imagine having a newborn AND a toddler to take care of morning, noon, and night). Hanging out with Maggie was just what I needed to get me a little more pumped about the arrival of our little girl in 4.5 weeks!

It had been raining for several days straight and the rain let up for us to enjoy some outdoor play time with Bay and nice overcast lighting.  Enjoy this beautiful family!

Mommy cured the “Bay who was finished taking pictures”… It was time to play hide and seek.  If you could only here him say “ready or not here I come” with his toddler lisp – ADORABLE!series1series2

Oh MY… Niece!

I had to post my beautiful niece who joined our family this past March. We fell in love the moment we met her. She is rockin’ awesome and my son adores her. Well, we all do! If you can just imagine anywhere we take her people stare and tell us how beautiful she is. This gal is beautiful on the inside just as much as the outside.web1web2web3web4web5web7web6web8web9web10web11web12web13web14web15web18web20web21web23web24web25web27web26web28web29

Lucky Girl…

I woke up this morning and heard the front door beeping, the coffee pot brewing, the pots and pans banging. Well, it’s my 28th birthday today and I knew Paul was up to something. You see, my husband doesn’t cook – ever! He surprised me with delicious scrambled eggs (with turkey and cheese), everything bagels, coffee and a touch of his good heart and sweet spirit. He also planned a prenatal massage, facial, and lunch at our awesome Modern Museum this morning.  Could I get any more pampered?

I am very thankful for another year of life and another year to live. I pray that this 28th year of life is just as blessed as the last. I have nothing to complain about and had such an amazing year as “27.” I am a very lucky girl who has been given wonderful friends, family, talents, and soon to be baby Parker! God has blessed us more than we could ever desire. I am thankful for him as well as all of the other amazing people in my life. I am not sure how we can top this past year… but I am sure life can only get more lovely.

It is definitely a Happy 28th to me!bday

linda jenkins Happy Birthday Dearest Arden! You are a young and beautiful 28
year old woman and mother to be again.

What a wonderful Birthday Morning! How lucky you all are to have each other. I am sure Parker could feel and hear all of the love and fun. I loved the picture of you and Pierson – so sweet. Paul’s love is shining bright for you!

Forgive me for not calling you on your birthday. On Thursday I thought it was going to be your birthday soon and could not find the date written in my address book – I was going to ask Paul and then forgot. We can all sing Happy Birthday next week to you. Love and a big birthday hug, LindaSeptember 19, 2009 – 5:10 pm

Saturday Sweetness

Two things brightened my rainy Saturday. The first happened in the late morning when my friend Laurie stopped by. She is unable to attend my baby shower today and wanted to bring her gift by early. She painted a canvas for Parker’s room. Personal gifts like that are touching, kind, and take a lot of effort on the givers part. She also included a very loving note that warmed my heart. I am so grateful for my friends!  Thanks Laurie… I appreciate and learn from your giving nature.

The second sweet of the day came around 8:30 p.m. after dinner.  I love finishing off a meal with a bite of sugar – of some sort.  So Pierson and I opted to have a Dove Promise – mmmm milk chocolate!  Well, inside the wrappers are cute little “promises.”  We had two sweet little notes from Dove and I thought they were perfect to share… especially now that today is Sunday!  This is silly, but a little bit of chocolate and kind words never hurt anybody.

My promise – or “kind little reminder.”choc2

Pierson’s promise – or “way to live each day.”  So If you read this today (Sunday) or any other day of the week, just remember that every day doesn’t have to be full of hustle and bustle.  Sit back and enjoy your life and all of the blessings that you have been given.choc3
