Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

If you have any questions or feedback please share with me: arden@ardenprucha.com

Wright Mini

Oh you will remember this sweet family from Fin’s newborn photos!
I am always so thankful for return clients – it is one of the biggest compliments I can ever receive.

This day was chilly, I mean drippy nose, rosey cheeks, wind blowing chilly.

Each of my sessions this morning had small children and luckily all of the kiddos rocked it out!

Sweet Finley was a trooper and simply perfect.

Enjoy this lovely trio and many thanks to the Wright Family!

.love.Can’t forget about the pooches! Look at this precious girl.

Thomas

I am going to start posting each family from my mini sessions on the blog!

Here is the first session…

I photographed this family when the big girl was in diapers and crawling!

How cute is this family?

They are expecting a BOY in a few short months.

YAY!!!

She and Parx are only a couple of weeks apart 🙂I highly recommend having pictures taken with your mate… it’s not just about the kids… it’s about LOVE!!! 🙂I love this series, she isn’t quite walking…

Melanie Reller Stunning as usual. The kids are just ADORABLE!December 22, 2010 – 9:31 am

IHF FIX IT FRIDAY: US

Well, once again I am honored to be somehwere on the I HEART FACES website.

This was taken at their Dream Big Workshop in Dallas, last month.

What a beautiful image, I had to play with the editing…

Afterall, it’s P & ME!

You can see all of the fine edits created by the other members here!

Here is the original:

prior to opening in Photoshop… I open in Adobe Camera RAW – adjusting White Balance, Vibrance, Saturation and colors, contrast and noise reduction:
This is a little vintage… I used TOTALLY RAD ACTIONS Pool Party, tweaked it heavily – then threw on a Turquoise Color Layer, but only painted it on the trees, TRAs YIN YANG on all images to get our pasty winter skin – appear less glowy, TRAs SELECT-O-POP on our face and the trees at a low opacity, and burned the trees a lot and as always a levels boost.

This is a BW action I created – using desaturation, adding a duplicate layer set on  soft light (with a light turq. color in that layer at a low opacity), then I burned burned burned all of the tree area to really focus on US… I also used SELECT-O-POP on the trees and our face again (along with YIN YANG), then I really felt like a horizontal flip would be great with the BW… I like it! 🙂This was actually my first edit, I wanted it to be fairly dramatic – in color in contrast and leading your eye into US 🙂  Once again I YIN/YANGed our faces for a nice balance, added ‘Get Faded Winter’ and ‘Get Faded Summer’ on about 25% opacity.  Added a light edge burn then I burned the entire tree area, darkening more around the outer edge.  Added OH SNAP for a nice contrast and pop and VOILA.  All of these weird names I mentioned are available from my favorite actions:  Totally Rad Actions THE REVENGE set 🙂

Raven LOL, Arden, you crack me up. I love how you “fixed” yourself. Lol. If you do make it to WPPI this year, a fellow photog said she’d really like to consider using you as a model when we shoot at the neon graveyard (that is if we can grab a time slot!).December 17, 2010 – 8:36 pm

Kim Mills I love all of your edits! very clean.December 17, 2010 – 3:53 pm
