Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

Phu, Jack, and Baby Parker

Phu and Jack are expecting a precious baby girl very soon!  They picked the new Dallas Opera House for their session.  Holy moly, it was PERFECT and right up my design alley.  Lines, lines, and more lines; which makes my creative heart feel all giddy.  I met Phu when I was in middle school through her sister Julia, who also came and helped out on the shoot.  Poor Jack sprained his ankle THIS DAY while playing golf… not just any sprain, his freakin’ ankle looked like a blueish baseball and he was hobbling all over the place for us gals.  We didn’t have to keep the sweet pregnant gal in mind, she was movin’ and groovin’.  In fact we would send him ahead to the next spot because he could barely walk 🙁 They brought their precious pups, Major and Bunny who posed graciously for me.  Oh this whole family makes me smile and I am so stoked to meet their newest addition!

Thank you P+J for allowing me to capture your baby’s first year!

Absolutely stunning Phu.Lines?  YES!C’mon Major…Who me?I’ma comin Mom and Dad!Hmm, Bunny isn’t so sure about this.Making her grand entrance…Their first pose… I don’t think they took my direction well.

Then they listened to Mom and Dad 🙂One of my favorites.Focus on the plums, focus on the girl. How cool is this wall?

Ah MORE lines!

I made Jack climb down all of these stairs, yes I am horrible.  He NEVER complained and was happy to do it all.Canvas print?  I think so!

See you soon to meet your new daughter.

.love.

Baby Jade

Oh this sweet girl is a doll!  Miss  Jade decided that sleeping was the best thing for her photos; what a cooperative girl.  This little gal was a perfect model and absolutely beautiful, squishy, and precious.  Thank you Jaime and Danny for inviting me into your home.  Also a special thank you to my friend Michael who hired me as a ‘present’ for this sweet family.  What a fantastic idea!  Enjoy this sweet little babe. They had this chair in her room and had painted it.

Timmons Bridal Peek

Breathtaking bride? Oui oui chéri!

Rosemary Potatoes

Mmm.  Easy as pots!  I purchased these beautiful and colorful potatoes from Kroger.  I had fresh rosemary in the backyard, so I made oven roasted rosemary potatoes.

Ingredients:

  • Small bag of potatoes
  • Olive oil
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Fresh Rosemary
  • Couple of garlic cloves.  Sliced and Diced.

Half or Quarter the potatoes, depending on the size.  Drizzle with olive oil.  Salt and pepper, c’mon be generous!  Throw in plenty of rosemary and garlic.  Bake at 400 degrees for 30-45 minutes.  Devour without feeling calorie guilty.

Fresh out of the oven!I also steamed artichokes and made hollandaise for dipping.  Divine!

My inspriation?  Julie and Julia!

Fresh clipped tips, those are prickly little suckers.

Mr. Artichoke – you are stunning!  Food is art.

Steamed to perfection… and of course throwing on some S&P along with some lemon pepper and garlic! The hollandaise were perfect and NOT made in a blender 🙂

P.S. After I made this I decided I DON’T LOVE steamed artichokes.  I do however LOVE LOVE hollandaise.  We finished them off at breakfast with my version of Eggs Benedict.  That was heaven.

Jen 🙂 I totally agree with Nikki. You have such an artful eye. I love, love, love steamed artichokes! 🙂 Where did you find those pretty little purple taters?August 12, 2010 – 9:21 pm
