Meet sweet Judah. One of my best friend’s, Maury, gave birth to her 3rd boy in May! I had to snap some photos of him when they dropped by for his introduction.
Sam is no longer the baby – but oh Sam has a special place in my heart. He is so stinkin’ sweet.

This image is perfect!

If you look closely, you will see a puddle of tee tee by his legs 🙂
My theory: Keep shooting while he is sleepy, happy, and WARM!

She just turned one! This is such a fun age to capture… one year old babes typically become fixated on things (such as flowers, grass, clapping, & often times not smiling for me 🙂 ) and you really just have to capture what they give you. I met her family out in Aledo to shoot on their turf and what a beautiful turf it is. We had the most GORGEOUS sunset light along with a perfect field of Indian Paintbrushes. I think this session was a perfect mixture of country, dainty, and slight urban flare. Thanks to Emily and David for being such wonderful helpers, parents, and totally good looking!
Lola is an absolute doll.

It’s hard to keep those walkers from walking away.

Hello tiny baby in the middle of a huge sunlit field!

This next series cracks me up… Awh, Lola is picking a flower and giving it to Mommy, REALLY GIVING it to Mommy!

My absolute favorite shot of the day. If you guys were thinking about purchasing a canvas or LARGE print… this should be it!

I imagine this print hanging in their home too 😉
I was able to get her to look at the camera by saying “bye bye.” Notice her waving at me?
The moon!

Arden- Thank you so much for these BEAUTIFUL images! You totally captured our families personality even when Lola was not being the most cooperative (which you can even tell she wasn’t 100% into this!). You are amazing!June 2, 2010 – 8:50 am
David,
You have a beautiful family! You should be so proud. Congratulations to Lola on her first birthday. it seems like just yesterday when you were (not so patiently) waiting for the day that she would come out and meet her Daddy. Love the pics, and I have to agree on the one that should go on the painted canvas.
Best wishes,
LisaJune 2, 2010 – 8:38 am

I was so excited to hear Katherine and Aarson’s plans for their big day. Though it was raining and pouring we were fortunate to have some covered space at Art Space 111. The wedding was supposed to take place outdoors at their rock garden, but they have just as cool indoor space as the do outdoors. This venue is ridiculously awesome! Katherine works for Michael’s and was able to have friends help her make their wedding vision a reality. Nearly everything that day was created by Katherine or her talented friends; from the bridesmaids necklaces, to the candy bar, to the invitations and announcements, to the accessories she was wearing. What a lucky gal! Aaron… surprised Katherine with TWO gifts: pearl earrings and a beautiful necklace. He is making us gals a little envious!
You guys are beautiful – introducing Mr. and Mrs. Rickels:
Aaron’s first surprise gift… do you think she likes it? 🙂

The FIRST LOOK! How beautiful… meaningful… perfect… and private!
Aaron’s second surprise gift for Katherine… beautiful!

This was the COOLEST signing for the guests… their thumb was a leaf on a painted tree with their signature next to their print.

The boys were excited for the ceremony…

Katherine’s best friend Carrie Waisley has her own Candy Business. That artwork really helped the table POP with even more color!
Their friends even made this AMAZING cake!

All you need is love, LOVE is all you NEED!
Please enjoy their full wedding story below 🙂
