Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

My P.LOVE.

Happy 34th to my LOVE… You have really made my life complete.  It’s been nearly four years since you entered our lives.

Four years of growing, laughing, loving, cherishing.

Let me tell you a few reasons why I absolutely adore you birthday boy: (*warning verbal PDA below)

  • I love that I can finish your thoughts or sentences – even when after you have only said “I wonder what…”
  • You bat your eyelashes to get me to lose focus on being upset with you and it works… every time.
  • I love your addiction and perhaps ‘romantic relationship’ with ice cream.
  • You are great, not good, but great at ANYTHING you do. (which means you should try cooking hint hint)
  • Your smile is absolutely perfect… crooked, up on one side, melts my heart, perfect.
  • When I am thinking negatively you help me chill, relax, and realize that it’s not a big deal and all will be well.
  • You can be the biggest goofball ever and keep it alive in me.
  • You are very driven in all walks of life.
  • Bass playing skills… ridiculous!
  • The eyebrows you make when you are trying on clothes.
  • Your ability to clean the house in 37.5 minutes that takes me days to complete.
  • Sarcastic nature, your are not a serious fella 99.9% of the time. Big John’s is a famous burger joint even in no-where Louisiana. Seriously.
  • The love you have for your family – and they adore you.
  • Your brain is a lot like mine… and my brain is awesome, which makes your brain awesome too!
  • Passion lies deep within your heart and soul.
  • You will share anything with me because you know it makes me happy.
  • Your desire to please others no matter what.
  • When you walk it consists of a little toosh strut. When you run it consists of a bigger toosh strut.
  • You will eat my sucky pancakes and mostly not complain 😉
  • If I have ever whined about anything you have done, you fix it… because you love me and want to make it better.
  • When I have a camera, you will pose for me… well, you will stand there and let me take a picture, or two, or three, or a gazillion!
  • I love that you will search for pancakes in the middle of the French Quarter – because that is what will make Pierson happy.
  • Your transformation from never holding a baby to changing diapers with joy… because you are in love with LittleMissParx.
  • Most of all, and selfishly, I adore that you chose to be the leader of our family, my husband, my wonderful friend, my companion, & my LOVE.

I hope this new year of life brings you ultimate joy, tons of blessings, and even more love… if that is possible?  Pierson, Parker, Pete, and I love you SO wonderfully much.

A tribute to my wonderful husband – I would be lost and definitely have a lot less fun without you!

Your truly are beautiful.inside.&.out.

Lola Peek

We are heading to the fabulous – NEW ORLEANS – today.  I will do my best at checking my messages, but no it will be difficult thanks to Good Ole’ Bourbon Street and Jazzfest!  I can’t wait for Parker to enjoy the wonderful city.

Leaving you with some images from a recent session.  This is Miss Lola.  She is a doll and we were lucky enough to have the right combo of lighting, wildflowers, girly stuff, and a sweet babe to pull it all together… keep an eye out for her full post.

The Potts Family

Meet Maury and her 3.5 boys.  Yes she is having ANOTHER boy, which she is totally ecstatic about.  Maur always thought she would have a plethora of boys and she is.  She is joined by husband Taylor and sons Elijah (6) and Samuel (1.5) along with Judah (in utero).  We met years ago and were fortunate enough to go through our first pregnancies together, at a young age.  It was so wonderful having a good friend to lean on during some very difficult, crazy, beautiful, and life changing times.  She is a great woman, mother, and daughter of God.  I can’t even tell you how laid back she is when it comes to parenting – teaches me to relax when I want to start throwing out consequences left and right.  They are now just awaiting the appearance of baby J, tick-tock, tick-tock, any minute now…

Good luck Maury and Taylor, we cannot wait to meet the new addition to your gorgeous family.  Love.love.LOVE.

This is Sam and he wants to be held.  Right after this he got up, toddled over to me (crying or wimpering the whole time), just so I could hold him.  I love him! 🙂

This moment to the left is the first time Sam has ever said ‘NO!’ Maury was cracking up and he was NOT happy.

Is this such a precious moment or what?  The power of a Daddy… Taylor, they adore you!Stunning Maury, really.

Elijah – such a handsome young fella…

You never know what you can find in an alley way… bright yellow poles!

I had to throw in some precious outtakes.  Notice the kiddos wanting to be close to Mommy. Also notice who is ruling the roost…

Happy Half Parx

Six months ago today we were blessed with a beautiful sweet daughter. This is my first year really running my business as well as my first year as a stay at home mommy. She is feisty, happy, stubborn, loving, giggly, chubby, alert, stunning, amazing, raspy, and an absolute perfect fit in our Pfamily. I had to dedicate today’s post to my 6 Month, holy cow it is flying by, old daughter Parker Lane aka PARX, Boogs, LittleMissP, Booboo, Suga’Pie. We absolutely adore every bit of you.

6 Months ago we had:

And now we have:

(this is me sans make up, how albino of me) 😉

Parx can sit up, sort of… weebles wobble and Parx falls down

She can drool too!

She can grab her feet!

Parker can also make a lot of bthhhzzzz  noises, for a LONG time… a little too long.

She can stare at her hands as if it’s the first time she has ever seen them.

She can stare for minutes and wonder ‘What the heck are these things?’

Parker can get really fussy at Mommy.or Daddy. or Pierson. or Pete. or her toys. or whatever she wants.

Parx can eat REAL FOOD!

Wait, did I say eat?  I meant smear, spit, blow, dribble.

She can flirt, laugh, suck in her breath really loud, and make your heart melt!

She loves her baths.

She makes this new face. Often!

Throwing in some original/edits.  This first is a very basic edit.  Levels boost and a nice soft light layer, along with a bit of a warm up.

Notice how her face is pretty shaded.

So I evened out each side of her face, adjusted the levels, added a soft light layer along with warming it up.

For this I first turned to BW, then added a vignette, a light yellow layer on normal with a low opacity, a blue hue on screen low opacity,  along with a levels boost.

And a few more for drools and giggles.  Paul’s cousin Wesley was driving through town and popped in.  Another handsome Cuban huh?

Me being, well, silly of course.

Being silly… again.

Lisa Tucker Wow! Those were awesome pictures of your baby girl. She is absolutely gorgeous and has quite a personality. (very photogenic)
