This weeks theme is Dramatic Black and White. The babe, the blurred tulips, the contrast… I love this. Check out the other I♡FACES entries here.
This was my first meeting with Jenny and Rece. They were recommended by photographer Jenna Cole, who will be on maternity leave during their big day. I am so thankful to her for sending Jenny and Rece my way. They are a very sweet couple who decided to have a ‘Prenup’ session! I had been talking to Jenny about it and told her how neat it was when Paul and I had our photos taken a couple of weeks before the wedding. They are getting married at the Anatole in Dallas and we wanted to make sure they’ll have the MOST beautiful shots of them all dolled up! The big reveal of the Bride to the Groom was taken at a park here in Fort Worth. It was fantastic, the weather was lovely, and they were both stunning. I have to thank them for driving from Valley Ranch to the Fort in order to capture these. They requested the outdoors… green, trees, nature. I think we succeeded – these photos are simple, timeless, beautiful, peaceful, loving, and one of my favorite sessions to date!

She forgot her veil, so she borrowed my birdcage veil… HELLLLLLOOO Jenny!

Look at Rece, he exceeds all brides expectations of the first moment reaction!

You know me… I had to throw in some Urban Flair to make the shoot complete 🙂

Jenny kickin’ back as I photographed Rece 🙂
Um, Rece… you are a handsome fella!

One of my favorites, love the movement.

Jenny, what a GORGEOUS bride you are!

See you in April on your BIG BIG day!

Wow! Beautiful and congrats to DeDe and Jamil on #2!March 29, 2010 – 1:24 pm
Well, yesterday I posted adorable Dylan and now I would like to introduce precious baby Gavin! Amber had these boys 11 years apart, coming from a Mommy of six year age gapped kiddos – I think it is fabulous. The help from the older sibling is above and beyond what any toddler can do. Dylan is a great big brother to his precious baby G and Amber is such an amazing woman and mother. She is so in love with both of her boys, it is wonderful to see. The best part is Dylan is carrying on her sense of humor… at one point Dylan said “Yeah, Mom is kinda is a buzz kill.” After I asked how it was to attend the same school she teaches at. I started cracking up at that little dude. Amber, you my deary are far from a buzz kill… you are an inspiration and a beautiful Mommy of two very handsome and sweet boys.
Without further adieu meet Baby Gavin:

I love the movement of these images:

We set up a make-shift studio in the back of her SUV. She was a fantastic assistant 🙂
Gavin finally fell asleep. What a trooper for such a chilly and windy day.

Driving a few feet after the shoot I had to capture a train… Who isn’t fascinated by trains?
Okay moms and dads, do NOT let your daughter see this one! Meet Dylan… an 11 year old charmer (yes, I said 11). 🙂 His mom and I met back at UTA and have kept our friendship going ever since – she is a hilarious soul. She wanted me to do some head-shots for him, you see Dylan is not only handsome, but also very talented… oh and very funny! He is hired through Core Talent Agency and you can see him in print ads and commercials. We did a large session: head-shots, regular boy photos, then we incorporated his NEW baby brother and mama for some family images. I will post the second half of the session tomorrow (you will see more of his personality in those). It was nice to have alone time with him, while his mom hung out with baby, because he really opened up and wasn’t as shy with just me.
Watch out guys, because D is going to be a STAR!

Could he be the next MJ? Sha’mon!
I love the simplicity of this close-up.
