Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

I have my sites linked to “google analytics” which is a really neat reporting page designed to keep track of where my visitors are coming from.  I am able to see how many people have viewed my site, from what country or state they are from, the average length of time spent on my site from the group of visitors, and what pages they have viewed.  Now, this may seem a little “Big Brotherish” to you, but it is such a neat thing to follow, for me!  I love seeing how many people viewed new postings or which countries have checked out my blog.  Believe it or not I have had people from 29 different COUNTRIES and 40 different states! It is so awesome hearing that my visitors are from Morocco, Philippines, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France and… well I could go on and name 22 more if I really wanted to. 🙂  I had two reasons for writing this.  First, I would like to give a big Hello/Howdy to all of my visitors from whatever country or state you are from.  It is so great to know that people share my work or others just happen to stumble upon my site.  I also would like to say please DROP A COMMENT on any of my postings.  My comments are slim compared to all of the visitors that have dropped by.  I would love love love to hear from you guys – as long as it is positive 😉  All you do is leave your name and email with your comment and if you have a website you can add that in too.  I will not use your email for any reason, it is just required for security purposes.

I am getting back into work slowly but surely after the birth of our daughter, so keep checking back for new postings.  I will end this with a few of photos of my hubby while we were out scouting some locations.  Thank you so much for visiting! – love love – Arden

Goldwaves Salon

I met Brooke at a “Net7” networking luncheon.  She is spunky, fun, and called me just days after meeting her.  She told me that their salon was entering an Oribe competition and they needed a photographer.  Each of the stylists had to replicate an Italian Vogue cover on their personal model with their hair, make-up, and wardrobe.  I walked into their salon and it was booming – people were everywhere!  Two men from Oribe had flown in from NYC and Miami to show them how to get “the look” from the magazine cover.  This shoot was so much fun from the moment I walked in, to shooting the last frame.  They all spread positivity towards one another, the models, and myself – it was very inspiring.  I wish them luck in the competition and thank them for their amazing salon.  Everyone there was so fabulous, helpful, charismatic, RAD, and muy talented.  Go check out Goldwaves!

Oh now, this is the winning model right here 😉  Along with Leslie Rice, who is the owner’s daughter and handles much of the salon.  She was wonderful to work with!!!w10w11w12w13w14w15w16w17

This is one of the models and I am showing two different ways I edited the photo.  The first one is very warm with some texture added in.  The second photo, to me, feels more like a sexy goth vampire.  I love both photos for their own unique feel post editing. w1

The Flores Sixsome

I met Keri through Sara at her Bachelorette dinner.  She wanted to get family photos and after weeks of figuring out our schedules we finally had a date!  I was about 2 weeks away from giving birth and she was busy with 10 month old twins (Sophia and Grace), a 2 year old boy (Alex), a three year old girl (Isabel), and a husband.  I was super nervous about this shoot, only because I haven’t worked with so many children at once before, but it was so much fun!  Working with their family helped me remember why I love children so much.  They brought along the two God Moms – Sara and Jennifer – to assist.  May I say that this idea was the SMARTEST IDEA EVER?  Sara and Jenn helped distract, play with, change, carry, swap, and entertain all of the children.  I must say their dances behind me sure did catch the attention of the babes throughout the shoot.  I praise Keri and her husband for working their tushes off to keep their BIG beautiful brood happy, fun, and sweet loving.w1w2w3w4w5w6w7w8w9w10w11w12w13w14w15w16w17w18w19w21w20w22w23w24w25w26w27w28w29w30w31w32w33

We are blessed…

Well, the moment finally arrived – sweet baby Parker Lane Jenkins joined our family on October 27th at 4:28 p.m.!  In case anyone is wondering my last name is actually Jenkins, but I began this business before my marriage, so I have kept “Prucha” as my work name.  God blessed us with Parker after only 30 minutes of pushing – what an amazing experience.  When I had Pierson, nearly six years ago, I was in labor for almost 24 hours when the doctors had to perform a cesarean because of his failure to descend.  I was also asleep during his birth because of drug complications and was unable to hear his first cry, see him for his first breath, or hold him for the first time.  I had been praying for an easy and healthy birth for both Parker and myself.  Well, our prayers came true with an easy quick delivery and we were able to go home 24 hours after she was born.  I must warn you there are a couple of “right out of the womb” photos, so I hope you do not get queasy:)  She is amazing and is just now beginning to cry a lot more, our first week at home was peaceful and we are all in love.  Special thanks to my sister who captured all of the beautiful birth photos on my camera.  She did an AWESOME job!

In between the first pushes.

My husband was honestly fantastic – he was my cheerleader, my supporter, my helper, my love, and my daughter’s loving and proud father 100% of the entire birth (and he normally gets queasy if there is blood and such)!w0002

My cool and calm doctor.  Once he was there I maybe pushed 4 times and she joined the world!docw0004w0005w0006

This image captures a true moment.  Parker is hearing her daddy and actually making eye contact, Pierson is looking at Paul, I am looking at Parker, it is perfect!w0007

Krista & Ryan E(ngaged)

Where do I begin?  This post has a SLEW of photos.  Krista and I met back in 6th grade and we have been the closest of friends ever since.  We even went to Texas Tech together, before I came home after my sophomore year.  She graduated and became a nurse, but not just any nurse… a TRAVELING NURSE!  She was off to find her own and wound up in the gorgeous state of California.  This is where she met her Ryan 🙂  He is a nurse as well and they are the most fun couple ever.  They travel all of the time and make the best out of life.  I am so happy for them and their upcoming wedding in JAMAICA!  Also super stoked to be shooting their wedding.  We had a two day shoot here in good ole’ rainy Texas – Yes, they flew in from Cali for photos and it was rainy and dreary their entire visit 🙁  Fortunately for us, it turned out to be gorgeous anyway.  I LOVE their photos, you can see their fun spirit and love for one another.  I love you K&R – good luck on the rest of the planning.

See you in Jamaica’Mahn.
