Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

Sweet Sarah

This is a Sneak Peek at my session with the Pearsons!  I have been ill with a flu like sickness for several days now and am about to be swamped with a ton of sessions before this baby arrives!  Thanks to the kind words of friends to their friends I am booking up fast; not to mention to the good God above. 🙂  The busy season starts and of course I am about to be 10 times busier with a sweet baby in my arms.

Here is the adorable three and a half year old Sarah – she was a lot of fun and I remembered how much I love working with children.pre2pre3pre1

NOLA Zoo Time

Baby Parker is soon to arrive, so on our trip to New Orleans we really wanted to first – bring Pierson along with us, but also entertain him so that he could enjoy the last few days of being an “only child.”  We decided to go to the Audubon Zooby his request and it is gorgeous!  They have the amazing and typical LA moss covered trees and the zoo is spread out over some land… It had just finished storming and was extremely hot and humid, plus we had just finished downing some massive omelets and fries at the famous Cammellia’s Grill, but it was time to burn of some calories and run around!  The  men really had fun telling Pierson that the “robotic t-rex” was real!  You will see the photo collage of Pierson’s reaction to seeing a REAL LIFE DINOSAUR!  He talked about it the rest of the trip bragging about how they really are alive and at the NOLA zoo.  The peacocks just cruise around the zoo as well as parrots and such just chilling in trees without a cage.  It was a very fun experience.

Special thanks to “cousin George” (& his wife Jennifer) for hanging out with us and showing us a great time in his home town and for giving us a beautiful home to stay in!

Senior Session – Chelsea!

Chelsea and her family found me through her best friend Emily’s post.  Her parents came along and were just as helpful as Emily’s mom, Mary.  I am so thankful to have the amazing people hire me and upon first meeting are fun, light hearted, and supportive.  Chelsea is about to graduate from North Crowley in May and has lettered in GOLF and she also plays the flute!  Thank you to the Spraggins Family for trusting me with your little girl – turned young woman.  She was a trooper while lying on brick, rocks, stepping in broken glass, and was elegant in our tattered scenery!

Enjoy this beautiful gal, the sweet smile she supplies, her TEXAS cowboy boots, and fun colorful car!

My New Family

My husband’s family is a very fun group!  His dad’s side was born in Cuba and came here when they were young children to seek opportunities.  Getting together with them is like a constant party!  Paul’s cousin was married this weekend and people flew to New Orleans from all over.  This family is a lot of fun to because you are surrounded by love, kisses, laughter, loudness, craziness, fun, and acceptance.  Pierson and I have felt like family from day one.  We are very fortunate to have a new extended family who we love and receive that in return.

Au Revoir

We are heading to New Orleans tomorrow for a wedding this weekend. The next few days will be full of Cajun and Cuban festivities! I hope everyone has a glorious rest of the week and restful weekend. We will return on Sunday just to begin another busy week.

I wanted to share a sneak peek of Miss Chelsea who will be graduating next May! Her parents came along for the shoot and were a tremendous help. Chels – here is a snip-it of our evening! You did an amazing job and I had a lot of fun with you guys.
