Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

Mallon is TWO

Two years ago, and a few days I was texting back and forth to my dad.

My sister and her family had THE COURT DATE, where they were trying to gain custody of Mallon.

They WON!

A few days later, he turned ONE!

Well, a year later and another adoption down… our sweet Mallon is TWO today.

I just want to give a shout out to this sweet little man, who came into our life at 3 days old.

A sweet soul, who says ‘day-du’ (thank you) all of the time and gives big wet kisses and hugs.

(he is such the opposite of my stand-offish and impolite Parx)

Mallon will cry if he knows he hurt you or upsets someone, such a pleaser and soft heart.

His favorite saying right now, “TOP IT!” (stop it)

Favorite Past Times: Hanging out with Elmo, Playing instruments and lovin on his family.

He knows exactly what he likes and wants, saying yes or no to all types of foods.

A precious face, with big dark eyes that will melt your heart… especially when he bats those lashes.

Happy Happy BIRTHDAY Mallon… We LOVE YOU so much.

The wind was so lovely.Love this series below:

1. Mallon happy with Parker’s pinwheel – while Parker is holding Mallon’s Elmo, complete with blankie, wipes and diaper, but noticing that Mallon has her pinwheel.

2. Parker snagged the pinwheel and is giving it to Elmo, but look at sweet Mallon. Poor little fella is sad!

3. Auntie Arden, HELP ME  – he says in those big’ole eyes.

(So, I give them back to him and Parx throws a SCREAMING FIT… enough of a fit that Mallon told his ‘Mama’ when he got home,”Parker, Elmo, WA WA WA WA she CY-ING!”)Little Bill.

Our kiddos LOVE this show.He is a kisser.

She is not.

They smooched!

(and Parx kisses with tongue, sheesh)One of my favorites!!!

Life with Kaishon He is so sweet. I am happy you get to be his Aunt : )
Those eyes are killer!October 9, 2011 – 12:40 pm

Karin Congratulations to all of you! 🙂 As an adoptive mom of 10, adoption is close to my heart. I always feel a little squeal of excitement when I read another family’s story of adoption. 🙂 Beautiful photos! My youngest has dark eyes like that and I LOVE getting shots of them. 🙂October 8, 2011 – 7:59 am

A-Girls: Senior and Family

I met these three lovely ladies years ago, as they lived next door to my folks for a few years.

Back when the girls were LITTLE.

I mean, riding with training wheels and elementary school “little.”

It’s such an honor to be chosen to capture a beautiful family along with [my favorite] senior portraits.

These three girls are strong, courageous, funny and loving.

They invited us out to their house, on their property with horses, a dried creek bed, and a beautiful barn.

How fun it is, to capture people in THEIR meaningful places.

I adore and LOVE sessions like this!

Debbie – thank you for allowing me to photograph your beautiful family!

(and Debbie allowed the new Edie and my mama to join AND had a meal for us, thank you thank you!)

Tara, Congrats on becoming a senior… rock out this last year and follow your dreams, only you can make them reality!

Valerie Stunningly beautiful ladies!!!October 6, 2011 – 2:37 pm

Arden Prucha I will say that for this particular session the most narrow aperture I shot at was 2.8! 🙂 Not that I recommend shooting groups that wide, but they were all in nearly the same depth of field. 🙂 thanks so much!October 6, 2011 – 1:07 pm

Meghan Love this entire post, Arden! All three of them are beautiful and I love all of the colors and tones of these images. Do you mind me asking what aperature you usually choose when photographing a family of 3, 4 or more to make sure they are all in sharp focus?October 6, 2011 – 1:04 pm

Just a wee bird

When we were in St. Francisville the sweet little Hummingbirds were fluttering around.

I wanted to try to snag some photos of these wee little birdies.

I did not have my nice 70-200mm  zoom lens to be able to stand back and get great close ups.

I had my 85mm 1.2, which is NOT easy to get shots like these, because of the lack of zoom capability and the wide aperture.

So I narrowed the aperture a bit, kept the Shutter at a reasonable speed, and stood as close as I could without disrupting their feeding.

My settings:

ISO 320, SS 1/640, f-2.8

In the photo below there are THREE Hummingbirds.

The two on the right are fighting over the feeder.

Crazy little birdies! Why thank you for looking so perfect Miss H. Bird.

Yvonne Sperrin amazing photos!October 2, 2011 – 1:53 pm
