Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

Father’s Day Lovin’

Happy Father’s Day – I wanted to do a personal post this morning to honor two extremely important men in my life.

I wanted to note that today there is someone who is gaining a father, losing a father, becoming a father… children need an exceptional man to fulfill this role.  I hope that the men you know are worthy of being called a father and take this role seriously.  Men set the stage for who a boy becomes and who a girl chooses to lead her family.  May all of you fathers be blessed today – you do an amazing job!

1. My Daddy

I grew up in a home where my father wanted to do anything to make us happy.  He would go to the moon and back if he knew it would please my mother, sister, or myself.  I feel very fortunate to have had a wonderful father in my home.  I know many children are not so lucky.  I sit and think about a father’s role… sure he is supposed to be the bread winner, the hard worker, the man who makes sure the bills are paid and that there is a roof over the families head.  I am not sure if we give men as much credit as they deserve when it comes to being a father, a GOOD father.  I am here to praise my dad – whom was the best father a little and grown girl could as for.  He taught me how to be cautious with spending, that men are dogs (which helped get me through those bad relationships), he made breakfast for me almost every morning of my childhood and adolescence, he took us all around the country and some places around the world, he loved us all unconditionally (which is a trait I know possess), my parents brought my sister and I to fancy dinners with my dad’s vendors – teaching us how to eat well, behave around others, and have wonderful manners at the table.  Here’s to you DAD for making the three of us girls smile, know what a good man is, and feel loved!

(don’t get jealous… I know you are wondering where to get a Batman shirt with red shiny spandex!)

2. My Paul – My husband

Paul and I met four years ago.  He will be the first to tell you he never imagined or wanted to see himself dating a gal with a child.  Well, I think God had something different planned for him – never say never! He was fearful, intimidated, and nervous to step into the shoes of ‘fatherhood,’ but he was challenged.  If you put a challenge in front of Paul – he WILL conquer it.  Paul has been an amazing Father to Pierson.  He is a better ‘play-mate’ than I am, he wants to make him happy, he challenges him, he takes him outdoors, he teaches him about respect, he holds Pierson accountable.  Then we had Parker… which was love at first sight for Paul.  During our entire courtship I would try to get Paul to hold a baby, to no avail.  The moment Parx was born he fell into the role of being a daddy to a newborn.  He held her, kissed her, changed her, snuggled with her, played with her, and was the master at walking her to sleep.  Our children are so blessed to have a man that loves them, works his tail off to provide for them, wants to have fun as a family, and raises them with great values and high expectations.  I hope to have more sweet babies to raise with a wonderful father and husband.  I love this guy so much and am proud to call him the father of my children!

Arnold:Graduate

Meet Arnold.  He is now a high school GRAD!  I received a call just after I photographed Julia with a super stoked Arnold who wanted to hire me on the spot.  He is full of life, energy, kindness and independence.  I have been wanting to shoot at this location for a LONG time and Arnold was the perfect fella to bring my vision to reality.  Arnold thank you SO very much for trusting and choosing me to capture a big moment in your life.  I am so glad we came together and made some rad images.

CONGRATS on graduating… enjoy the late night swimming, sleeping in, and fun this summer brings!

It’s amazing what you can find behind a car wash… isn’t this grass filled alley spectacular?

Sweet Arnold – Happy New Chapter in Life

Baby Finley

Meet sweet, perfect, TINY, sleepy, quiet, photogenic Finley.  She was the easiest newborn I have ever worked with.  Her mom told me she sleeps all of the time and that is just what she did.  I had them keep her room nice and warm and made sure she had a full belly when I arrived.  This helps the babe sleep through all of the moving, posing, swapping of head accessories, and camera clicks.  Their home was a perfect location.  The brick color on their home is one of my favorites out there; the POP is awesome!  Thiss family is ridiculous… look at how gorgeous they are!

Jennifer and Bruce – thank you for allowing me to capture your stunning new addition, the pooches, and your amazing LOVE.

Top Pick!

When Jennifer and I spoke about location she mentioned that Finley’s room had a modern feel… if you know me you know I am a sucker for clean and contemporary.. here are a few details of her room!

I went around their house looking for some props and found this basket… perfect!

Look at this precious thing…

Even smiling for us – must be having sweet dreams.

Another Top Pick! 🙂

What did I tell ya? Are they gorgeous or what?

I can’t even tell you how in LOVE they are with her.  Finley is one blessed little girl.

And now the WHOLE crew.  Congrats Jennifer and Bruce – for a perfect, healthy, and sweet Baby Finley.

Jenny+Rece.I.Do.

Jenny and Rece… what a beautiful couple.  You will remember them from their prenup session!  They had a lovely, small, intimate, and beautiful ceremony and reception at The Anatole in Dallas.  They wrote their own vows… throughout their relationship they have written poetic love notes for one another. It is neat to see the bride and groom’s closest family and friends come and celebrate their union.  The pops of pink Jenny chose are to die for!  Congrats Jenny and Rece, may your marriage be blessed with LOVE, good fortune, babies, and peace!A gift from Rece… So sweet!
