This is my first time to enter the “I ♥ Faces” photo challenge. This week they wanted a photo of “family” so, I chose the Flores Fam. What better way to represent a family: Four Children – 3 years and under… they are pulling off parenting magnificently. This family is playful, fun, loving, and adorable.
Wonderful capture, made me smile, good luck, Kathy.January 19, 2010 – 1:07 pm
lovely!January 19, 2010 – 12:02 pm
What an adorable way to capture a family. The kids look so tiny compared with the parents. Very nice.January 19, 2010 – 11:10 am
Our dear friends Ben and Sarah Wallace invited us out to their ranch this past weekend. It was quite lovely, peaceful, fun, and filling! If I was a ranch wife I would have a little bit more cushion around the waistline… ya see it is fun to nibble, chit chat, sip on ice cold beverages, and hang out… and that is just what we all did. Pierson was able to play with Bay (3) and Emily (4). Parker was able to play with Maggie (6months) and Hannah (9months). Paul hung with the boys in the deer stand or watching the games, Pete ran around with everyone’s dogs – oh my goodness he was in HEAVEN, and I was able to relax and kick back with the lovely ladies. The Jenkins (my married name) were definitely the City Slickers of the group!
Thanks to the Wallaces, The Griggs, and Trey aka TYRONE for a really fun weekend, delicious food, and great company.
We made s’mores on this nice fire!

This is Ben and his ‘mini-me’ Maggie.

Little Miss P(arker) enjoying the view!

She is almost three months and the hair and dimples are as crazy as ever.

All of the Ps and me for a family portrait.

Bay taking off his boots just like Daddy.
Moments like these give me inspiration as a photographer. This is how I want photo sessions to look, candid and playful. I encourage my clients to “plan” a session for me to photograph – real life moments, fun times, typical days, that will show the real “YOU” in your photos. Families shouldn’t be posed, they should be captured.

Looks like we missed a good time. Arden, you need to check out http://www.thepioneerwoman.com. She blogs about being a ranchers wife. And she is a wonderful photographer too.January 19, 2010 – 3:14 pm
Oh sweet Dean – he made me so happy 🙂 His bright eyes, precious smile, and playful spirit made this session oh so fun! More to come later, but for now I hope this babe melts your heart:

I was so excited when Megan contacted me about maternity photos. We went to middle and high school together and I haven’t seen her in years! She met John doing peace corp work and they are such a chill couple. Megan was super easy going with me and not shy at all. Our first images were more private by capturing the beauty of a pregnant woman. I cannot even tell you how much I love, adore, and respect pregnancy. It is a beautiful thing that God has blessed us women with. I truly believe that our bodies are art and pregnancy is like the Sistine Chapel of bods! We were so fortunate to have the sun peak out and warm up our December session. Now, please enjoy the love between John, Megan, and Baby Collins:

These next few images are taken under the sculpture at the museum. I found the curves to be right on target with our shoot, I will call this sculpture “Goddess of Fertility!” 🙂

I met these three at The Wallace’s home several months ago. I have teamed up with a new paper goods company, that Cassie is the graphic artist of, “Fresh Press” and their launch is right around the corner! Merrill is Clint and Cassie’s daughter who was truly terrific on this shoot. It was pretty cold this day and she was so easy going, cooperative, and hilarious! My favorite thing about this shoot, besides the people? The COLORS… which made this shoot even better. Thanks to the Kruemckes for a fun and easy shoot… you guys rocked it!

Love the next few shots of Merrill being… well, Merrill!

Merrill requested a photo with the Donkey! So sweet.

Oh the color, lights, and family… love it!

Just as cute as can be. I showed all the girls at my work and they just loved the layout and would like more information on your layouts. They said they looked like they should be in Life Magazine. I am so glad they were shared with us.January 8, 2010 – 11:24 am
I’m always encouraging clients to incorporate more color into their sessions. I love that this family took that idea and RAN WITH IT. My favorite is the one of the little girl rocking the sassy pose with her parents kissing in the background. Adorable family!January 7, 2010 – 12:32 pm
Very nice work. Loved the colors and all of your great poses and looks. I knew Cassie when she was her daughter’s age. These are great.January 7, 2010 – 11:25 am
