Arden Prucha Photography bio picture
  • HI! I am Arden Prucha Jenkins - a photographer located in Fort Worth, Texas! I specialize in portraiture and more recently weddings! Please take a look around and get to know my work, my style, my life, and me.

How did I get into photography? Well, everyone has their story right? Looking back I realize that the little photog was in me all along, without even knowing it! I picked up a camera when I was around 8 and started snapping photos - I even posed my neighbors, animals, and Barbies for photos (seriously I made a Barbie wedding and photographed the entire thing).

Who am I? Well, I was a teacher for three years, but was able to leave that job to focus on photography and my two beautiful children!  I married a man who I am totally smitten over and he is crazy supportive of me.  I am a bargain shopper with expensive taste.  God allows me to trust this world with less fear and more hope and trust.  Music makes my heart flutter - so thankfully I married a very talented musician. I wish I could carry a tune, but unfortunately I cannot. My favorite month is October (dreamy light) and I miss my convertible - oh the beautiful wind .  When I was little I was amazingly or perhaps annoyingly hyper - and ate more food than all of the boys and was faster than most of them too.  I was a dancer and I love to write and converse.  When I am around people I get more energy and become alive. The differences between women and men intrigue me and kiddos make my heart melt. Photos... well, they fill my heart.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you see.

I DO: Sara & Todd Koppes!

Sara and I work together and have formed a wonderful friendship and bond over the past three years.  She met Todd through mutual friends and they hit it off instantly.  She is a Kindergarten teacher, he is a principal and they had a beautiful wedding at the TCU campus followed by a reception at a delicious french restaurant on the 9th floor in Arlington; overlooking Six Flags and the new Cowboy Stadium.  This was my first wedding as the lead shooter and I would like to shout out to Amanda for helping me second shoot.  Sara’s family is from Spain and I cannot even tell you how much I love them.  They have always been so kind to me and made me laugh, smile, and I truly appreciate their great spirit.  I was so fortunate to be a part of this amazing day!  I love the Koppes couple!

Cady Senior Peek!

Cady is going to enter her last year of high school in less than three weeks!  She had never met me before and was full of grace, poise, laughter, and willing to do anything I asked her to.  Meeting me on Sunday evening was something that I would never wish to do… I have entered the phase of major pregnant brain – saying quirky things and sounding completely dumb at times (left and right were a major issue for me on this session).   I mean it was sweltering and she was laying on grates, sitting on dirty things, leaning on grungy walls, walking through this and that, and she was absolutely awesome!  I hope your final year is full of rockin’ great times and don’t forget to enjoy it… you are about to be an official GROWN UP!  Thanks Cady… I will post more soon.logo0256logo3339logo3456

The Kirkpatrick Crew

How adorable is Cooper? I was there a day or two after he was born and have watched him grow into a fine young boy. He wanted to play during the shoot and I nearly lost my cookies riding the merry-go-round with him, but anything for the shot… right? Jenn and Russell laughed and loved a little extra on this shoot because of the presence of sweet Cooper. While I shot some photos of the two of them, he took their camera and mimicked me. We would here Cooper say “Okay look at me, okay good.” or “Daddy give Mommy a kiss.” It was precious and helped their images show true happiness and real emotions!

Welcome to my new blog…

It was time for me to “move on up” to a real blog.  My old blog was great – free! – but I wasn’t able to put more of my style into it.  So this is the new place to keep up with my work, life, and whatever else I shall post.

Thanks for visiting and don’t go away… I will be around.
